I think our D will be even better than last year. I say we go 12-4 this year and once again get the #1 seed!

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

Hey guys, hope you're all having a fun summer!

I'm getting tired of Von Millers antics a bit. He now is saying that the franchise tag is a league wide problem and he is in a position to help the rest of the league out by not playing on it and demanding to be the highest paid player bla, bla, bla BS....

I like Von and he is an awesome player but the NFLPA decided all those things in the new collective bargaining agreement and Von is really out of line thinking it's his duty to go against the already in place rules agreed to by his peers. He is putting himself on a pedestal far and away above the Broncos, the NFL and his team mates.

It wasn't that long ago Von was on the last tier of the drug policy and suspended games for it and on the cusp of permanent suspension.  Now he is all of a sudden the NFLPA vigilante poster boy that feels entitled to disobey the written rules of the agreement that his own union approved?

Von is proving to be a ME first Team second type of guy. He can't dance worth a shit either. If he can't take 60 million dollars and shut the fuk up and just play then I hope he does sit out the year. We made it to the SB with out him a couple of years ago anyways.jmho

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

The NFL world is not the real world. its a whole other universe with huge enormous spiral jirals that we little ordinary joes can't even comprehend. This is all about pride! Von Miller will never settle and allow guys like a Fletcher Cox to make more money than him. THE VONSTER IS THE MVP OF SUPER BOWL 50 and he alone is at the top of the mountain and should get TOP DOLLAR! He killed it against the Pats and in the SUPER BOWL!! PAY THE SUPERMAN!!!!!!!!! ILMSDB!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

OC, I'm with you. Von is thinking he is the best in the league and in my opinion , he's not. He had a great playoffs and superbowl but there were several games when he was nonexistant. This wasn't his best year as compared to even his rookie year. I'll take Suh or JJ over him. I think all the notoriety went to his head and might do him some good to set out. Remember that Wolfe and Harris both settled quickly without all the lip. My vote is let him set and concentrate on signing Saunders. JMHO

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

crybaby's appeal DENIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO!

Hey guys as far as the Von Miller thing goes,he's worth big money, but Von should be thankful he is getting what is offered,he has already been suspended,if not for that,I think he would have already been signed,I bet there is a clause in his contract about getting into trouble!
WAY too much fucking drama this offseason, imo!

Sanders is wanting like 12 mil per season,I think he's worth it,but will we pay him 12 mil and DT 14 mil?

But don't forget we still WORLD CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've heard other posters on other sites saying that Sanders is too old to pay bigtime money,he is 30,but DT is 28,and Sanders runs better routes, imo.

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

70 million!!! If Von doesn't sign for that he needs to pack his stuff and get. Way too much for a lb. The way I look at it is he is getting this huge contract  on the backs of his teammates. Lost my respect. JMHO

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

70 million, thats a big pretty penny. Done deal!

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

I hear ya Wolfman,I don't think players deserve to get that kind of money either dude, but if you don't pay them somebody will (J.Thomas,M.Jackson,B.Osweiler,Danny T...etc...).

I look at it like this:

The salary cap is going up:

2013 was 123 mil
2014 was 133 mil
2015 was 143 mil
2016 is 155 mil
2017 will be ???

So we will be able to sign Sanders,if we want to.

I would rather pay Miller 114.5 mil/19 mil per season, than to have paid M.Jackson 90 mil/15 mil per season or Oz 72 mil/18 mil per season.

The reason we CAN afford to pay Miller 19 mil per season is that we are paying all 3 QBs a grand total of 7.5 mil for at least the next 2 seasons, and by the time P.Lynch gets paid in 5 years,Miller will only have 1 year left on his contract,J.Elway is smart,he drafted Miller and will not let any other team have him.

Don't get me wrong I see where you guys think he is selfish, and wants all the money he can get,but he has been playing on his Rookie contract for the last 4 years for a measly 21 mil/5.2 mil per season, and has definitely out played his contract.Guys like Wolfe,Harris,Talib, and Sanders that are playing for cheap don't come along everyday,(thank God they do),but sometimes you have to pay the BIG DOG BIG MONEY!

4 and a half hours to go.............sign the Damn contract Von,and be the highest paid Defensive player in league history, and bet your asses that this contract WILL set the bar,and other Defensive players will follow with huge contracts as well.

This 70 mil guaranteed is the 2nd highest in NFL history (A.Luck) and the most ever for a Defensive player.

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

J.Houston,LB for KC signed a 6 year deal for 101 mil and 52.5 mil guaranteed, and Miller is better than him,so the contract for LBs is going way up,if Lawrence Taylor or derrick Thomas were still playing, they would get this kind of money, imo!

Only knock on this is that Miller is 1 strike away from being suspended for a year, let's hope J.Elway put a clause in his contract for that!

Fletcher Cox got 63.3 mil in guaranteed,so 70 mil isn't that far of a stretch, contracts are getting way trippy.

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

Tom crybaby posts on facebook that he will not appeal to the supreme court,so it's over and done, you cheating bastard.Take your 4 game suspension like a man, your legacy will FOREVER be tarnished, and you will be known as a CHEATER......LMAO!

Go Cards,Texans,Dolphins, and Bills....the Patsies first 4 games, looks like home field advantage will be ours for the taking.

WTF is the Miller contract not signed yet,I don't like these last minute deals, remember Dumervil and faxgate?

If he dosen't sign the contract he is a very stupid man, that's a contract 100% of the players, and anyone in the NFL would have already signed!!!!!!

I swear this damn drama is making an old man outta me!

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

Strand I agree that money has gone up and Von has been on a low dollar contract but remember he sat out a year with injury and 4 games for drugs. I just don't think he is worth it. He did have a great playoff but for most of the year he didn't impress. Paying Oz was stupid, Thomas, Dummervill and others have learned that without the rest of the team they aren't so great. I think Houston is as good as Von but that is my opinion. I think we needed to sign Saunders and moved on. Just me. I couldn't be happier for the crybaby outcome and think it couldn't have gotten any better unless they threw Bellicheat in the deal also.

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

Yes, crybaby got his! I hear yeah Wolfedom and respect your opinion. The sad thing is this is how the NFL operates. In the real world very few people make that kind of money, even in a whole life span. Hard to fathom Wolfe!

7/15/2016 12:18 pm  #24

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

And its nice to see everyone on again. Cool to see ya on Wolfedom. The off season gets slow.

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

Well it's a done deal now,Von Miller is the face of the Denver Broncos for the next 6 years, whether you like it or not, lol.
All of us can give our opinions about this, but we are not the top brass, and they wanted this to happen,I'm glad he's a Bronco, but I just hope he stays clean and concentrates on killing QBs!

Now we need to sign Sanders, like we were gonna do before this stopped talks, because he plays a very important role in our Offense, without him,the D can double team DT!

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

The 70 Million dollar man!

I sure hope it pays off better than the Clady and Dumerville contracts. If I remember right they signed Dumervil to a $61M contract with $43M guaranteed and he tore is pectoral muscle in camp and never played a game that year. Then he cam back in 2011 and only had 30 tackles and 9 sacks. Clady held the Boncos over the barrel for a $57M contract with $33M guaranteed in 21013 and then got hurt in a basket ball game and only played two games that year. Played okay in 2014 and then missed 2015 with injury. So we literally got one season from Clady for 33 million dollars and one year from Dumervil for 43 million dollars.

I hope no bad juju happens with the Vonster.....

Re: DENVER BRONCOS OFFSEASON

After all that stress about the contract it feels kinda good to have nothing to worry about except who's going to be flinging the pigskin around for our team during the intermissions when the Vonster is not sacking QB's.

I like Sanchez okay but I'm rooting for Siemian, the Underdog! That should be his nickname if he makes starter.. Underdog! Going from seventh round draft pick to starter on a SB calibre team would be most impressive! Although I think he's got an inside shot because he was hand picked by Kubiak.

Seems like our Broncos have always been underdogs anyways! Nobody ever gives us a chance and I like it that way.
