It's almost emotional. At least this was on his terms and he didn't wait until he ran his health into the ground. Enjoy those shiny rings! You earned them!

So many different moving pieces this offseason. I didn't even snap that Wade Phillips was no longer under contract. We need to find our new HC sooner rather than later so we can get lined out what we need to do at the assistant coach positions. You would think that if we get everything wrapped up with Shanny Jr. this weekend we would reach terms with Phillips shortly thereafter since Kyle is an O guy. If we decided to go with someone like Vance Joseph that probably won't be the case.

I really like the idea of 'keeping it in the family' and going with Kyle Shanahan and keeping Wade Phillips.
I love the idea of having people with ties to the Broncos organization.

Regardless- No worries with Elway running the show.

I believe Wade comes back as DC. If its not broke do not fix it. I'm pretty confident he remains in Denver as our DC.

I think that the writing is on the wall and Kyle will be the DENVER BRONCOS new HC. The Broncos are very close to getting back to the SUPER BOWL. Those other teams stink. Sky's the limit in Denver and these guys coming in know that. The opportunity to be successful is enormous with our history. AND OUR DEFENSE! HaHa!!

The 2017 HOF semi-finalist just came out, 26 guys with Terrell Davis, Steve Atwater, and Karl Mecklenburg are all there. Lynch and Dawkins too.

I believe Wade comes back for another year or two.
I think Shanny Jr or Vance Joseph would both be good picks but weighing more towards SJR right now. Sounds like Vance has all the right attributes but just not the experience. Vance is a good communicator as well which can be very important in HC position. Both of these guys have ties with Colorado...Hmm

Not sure why the interest in KC special teams coach Dave Toub. Don't know a whole lot about him yet.

Whoever the pick is for HC, it would be nice to have Wade there for moral support and show how things are done.

I agree with ya HP1. Those are the 2 guys I'd be happy with leading our ORANGE AND BLUE! And draft Christian Mac in the 1st round. In FA go get Short DT and Campbell DE for starts. As for LT and RT I'm at a loss and not sure who's out there. Cut Okung LT and Stevenson RT and save tons of salary cap space and start over at those 2 positions. Elway will think of something there on the O-Line. It'll be tricky but those 2 positions killed us this season. Blah!

It looks like Vance Joseph might be the guy the Broncos want first from what they are saying on 104.3.
Phillips as D coordinator and Mike McCoy back as O coordinator.
Hmmmmm! geeesh, who knows.

I can see Vance being our HC but I think Shanny gets the job since our team is solid and he has ties too Denver. My 2 cents any anyway.

Cam, on the Mile High report there is a article write up that says Kyle Is Eyeing The Denver Broncos HC Job. Once again Shanny or Joseph is good either way.

The Broncos will start interviewing tomorrow and Saturday. They can't sign Shanny until either the Falcons are out of playoffs or after they play in the Super Bowl if they make it that far.

The Denver Post says that Kyle Shanahan is the favorite while other source's claim that Vance Joseph gets the gig. I believe its Shanny. But if Joseph is hired as HC I will be all in on him. I know Elway sure has confidence in Joseph.

I'm all in with whoever we pick...Shanny or Joseph! Sounds like if Joseph is coach he wants McCoy to be OC...that wouldn't be a bad thing. This is getting interesting!

If we have Joseph as HC and McCoy and Phillips on each side of the ball, we will be in good shape.

I would think if Shanny as HC he would keep Phillips as well and bring over someone he would be comfortable with calling plays....hmmm

Schefter and Legwald are both saying that Shanny is the Favorite to win the DENVER BRONCOS HC job. The 2 guys are always having the inside scoop And that the Broncos were very impressed with Kyle Shanahan. My money is on SHANNY JR!

The offense needs a boost and some players to do it and Shanny has the goods. As for the D, if its not broke, dont fix it. Why get a HC that has a D mind and doesn't have the goods on offense. I love the Shanny pick. The writing is on the wall, Schefter and Legwald reported that yesterday in being Shanny is the FAVE. When Schefty reports something its set in stone as he has the inside scoop. Can't go against Scheftys reports 97% of the time.

Looks like Broncos going to extend offer to VJ. This probably means that Wade is out as DC and Mike McCoy will be coming back to Denver as OC. Interesting!

Everyone seems to think highly of him as a person and coach. I'm excited to see if he keeps Wade as DC or if Joe Woods will get promoted. Interviews start tomorrow with Mike McCoy and Bill Musgrave. Come on Mike McCoy! I have high hopes for what this next year brings.

There has also been a little speculation that we could bring McCoy on as OC and Musgrave as the QB coach. Kind of far fetched, but that would be a good scenario since McCoy will probably be offered another HC position if the Broncos O shines next year. Musgrave would slip right into his spot.
